Lowcountry Teal Diva 5k for Ovarian & Other Gynecologic Cancers

Teal Diva is hosting our 5th Annual 5k run/walk event on Saturday, September 25th in Summerville, SC.

The Teal Diva 5k run/walk event is more than a 5k. It is an opportunity for women currently battling a gynecologic cancer to come together meeting other warriors. An opportunity for families and friends to support the woman in their life impacted by this disease. A time for us to join our nurses and doctors outside of the clinic. It is an opportunity to honor loved ones.  A chance for us to come together and turn the streets teal, our color for awareness. And to educate the community on the signs and symptoms of this deadly disease.

We want to be together. We want to honor HER with you!  Want to celebrate YOUR life with YOU! We want to turn the streets teal with YOU! We want to walk or run with YOU!  We want to be there to cry with each of you, hug you and look you in the face to say, THANK YOU! 

We take the health of our community seriously. It is our responsibility as an organization devoted to health awareness, to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are monitoring updates with the virus and will abide by regulations set by local government. We are in contact with the town of Summerville and will make changes to accommodate if necessary. As of now, we are preparing for a live event but also preparing just in case the event must be virtual.

What does this mean for you? We have set up our registration in various levels and including a virtual option. Simply register for the level you want, and, in the event, we become a virtual race, you will still receive the swag that coordinates with the level you registered for.  For anyone who registers for the Virtual option, you have until October 3rd, 2021 to complete the race.

If we move forward with a live event, please rest assured, we will do all we can do to provide a safe and healthy experience which will include providing hand washing stations, face masks, and establishing a delayed start for racers.
