Description

IMPORTANT UPDATE: effective May 19, 2017

Dear Race Participants,

Due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the 8th Annual Race Across the Spectrum on July 15th has been cancelled.

This past year, The Brown Center has been restructuring portions of its programs in order to better serve our communities. At the same time, our Founder & Executive Director has also been battling some serious health issues. Her hope was to first finalize this agency restructuring before taking medical leave, but these health issues must be attended to sooner than later. Our Executive Director (who is also our Race Director) and two key support staff are the small, yet mighty, magical force who have made this entire event happen each year--and unfortunately, we simply do not have additional funds this year to outsource this special event without all three of these key people available full-time.

As a result, registered participants will be refunded registration fees and any additional funds paid for larger shirts through the RunSignUp platform within the next 45 days. Your refunds will be credited back to the credit card you used to initially register. We thank you for your patience and apologize for this inconvenience.

If you are interested in converting your registration fee to a tax-deductible donation instead, simply email Nicole at nicole.rose@thebrowncenter.org to let her know, and we will ensure that you receive a donation receipt and recognition on our website in return.

As always, all funds raised through this event directly support our mission and this year will be used to help transition families to their next journey and for our staff psychologist, Dr. McAtee, to continue providing counseling and diagnostics for families and children impacted by Autism. You may also give at other times as always via our website at http://www.thebrowncenter.org/donate/.

This event has been the highlight of our year for the past eight years, and your support through your participation in this event has changed thousands of lives. We are grateful for the past, hopeful for the future, and hope to be in touch with news that Race Across the Spectrum 2018 will return bigger and better than ever before! We thank each and every one of you for your continued support of our organization and the precious work that we do.

Warm Regards,

The Brown Center Staff
