Description

What's better than running by yourself? Putting on a costume and running (or walking!) with a bunch of crazy fun people, that's what! Celebrate Halloween with us, running, walking, prancing,  parading along the beautiful Tennessee River, with a bunch of the funnest people you've ever met, and of course, tons of candy!

The course is basically completely flat, on a paved path that meanders by the Chickamauga Dam, behind the campus of Chattanooga State, and alongside the Tennessee River. We have toilets that flush and sinks with running water and soap. Because fighting with your costume in a port-o-potty sounds like a recipe for disaster.

You will pass the start/finish/aid station area multiple times throughout the race. This means you're welcome to leave a drop bag to access your own personal goodies and you can shed layers as you warm up. This is also a good place to reapply sunscreen, address any potential issues such as blisters, etc.

The race is super low-key and non-competitive; we'd prefer to race you vs. you, not you vs. anyone else. It's a group run type atmosphere, just with finish times and medals at the end! There is a 4 hour time limit for all distances. Walkers are welcome!

Your registration fee includes entry into the race distance of your choosing, race swag, finisher medal for all distances, and our usual aid station setup including Gatorade, water, Gu, and snacks and post-race food. We promise we will keep you full of all the candy you need to pre-game for the big night!

As with any other race put on by any other company, registration fees and add-on fees are final and are not refundable or transferable for any reason. Prices are subject to change. The races will go on rain, snow, or shine.

Costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory. This is a family event, so please keep your costume kid-friendly! We recommend doing a training run or two in your costume. We're happy to assist with first aid for chafing, but it's a lot easier if you are ready for it, instead of discovering it a couple of miles in! Strollers are welcome, just be responsible in your use of your stroller!
