Pedals and Blooms

The fourth annual Pedals & Blooms Bike Tour, a Dyersburg/Dyer County Dogwood Festival event, will leave from a new location on April 13, 2019.  Start time is 8:00 from the Farmers Market. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. The route will include the Mississippi river plain, the bluffs that overlook that plain, and the fertile rolling countryside behind the bluffs. Rides of 20 miles, 40 miles, and the Metric Century (62 miles) are available.   Passing through each of Dyer County’s three Municipalities, and with swags at ten-mile intervals, we know you will find this a scenic, interesting, and moderately challenging tour.

New this year, is the Athletes Village!  This will be a private area designated for only the cyclists and our 1/2 marathon and 5k runners participating in our sister event Dogwood Dash.  Athletes will have access to free food including BBQ nachos, pizza, Sonic breakfast burritos, fruit, cookies and more, beer, drinks private seating, men's and women's private tents to change clothes and a Podiatrist on site!   

Following the roll out, at 8:30 the Dogwood Dash Half Marathon and 5K Run will start, followed at 8:45 by the Youth Mile and 2 Mile Walk, so bring your non-biking friends and family along. There really is something for everyone.

Inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, food vendors, live music, and the popular diaper dash (Yep, it’s just what you think, so register your baby who can’t quite walk yet for an adorable crawling race), are all on hand for those waiting as the main events take place.
