About Harmony Family Center

Founded in 1996, Harmony Family Center creates innovative opportunities for healing and growth so children may live their best lives. Harmony achieves this mission through a broad spectrum of specialized, evidence-based programs and projects across Tennessee. Thought leaders on childhood trauma, Harmony contracts with the Department of Children’s Services to help children in foster care find and stay in adoptive homes, provides cutting-edge clinical and community training; and offers integrative individual and group therapeutic services in Knox County and in Blount County, at Montvale.

At historic Camp Montvale, Harmony provides a host of mission-based services and programs like animal assisted therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, and specialized therapeutic camps for foster and adoptive children and their families. To date, Harmony has served over 135,000 Tennessee children and families.

About the Mud Run

After hosting a virtual event in 2020, we are THRILLED to return to Montvale for the 9th Annual Mudder’s Day Madness 5K Mud Run. Typically hosted on Mother's Day weekend, we have rescheduled to October 23, 2021 to ensure a fun and safe event. This exciting 5K takes runners through Montvale's beautiful property while getting muddy on 18 obstacles including a muddy slide, a sludgy army crawl, and a jump in the lake.

Proceeds benefit the work of Harmony at historic Camp Montvale to ensure that this special place remains a space for connection and restoration for years to come.
