Registrants Paying Entry Fee In Cash
The ability to register and pay the registration fee with cash will only be available at the check in site between 6:30 am and 7:15 am. We will have a special table set up for cash transactions. The registrant will need to utilize their smart phone to register online and we will issue a code for them to use at check out from the transaction. The registrant will then pay their registration fee in cash at the same table before they are issued a bib. We would strongly advise anyone paying in cash to arrive at the check in site by 6:45 am.

Stepping Out, Inc. is a United Way agency. The months of September and October is the United Way Campaign and we are unable to solicit. We will suspend registration on August 31. Registration reopens November 1st, 2024.
Description
The Turkey Trot 5K will be the 1st ever race held at the Morristown Regional Airport. The course will be an scenic route. This event provides a unique experience for our region, an opportunity to race on the runway and taxiway. This course will be one of the flattest 5k's in the Lakeway area.
Early Race Packet Pick UP 3 PM to 6 PM at the Stepping Out office at 3441 W Andrew Johnson Hwy Morristown, TN.
Day of Race Packet Pick Up Day of Race 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM at the Alpha Baptist Church 245 St Johns Road Morristown, TN 37814
Day of Race Parking at the Alpha Baptist Church parking lot across the street from the church. Participants will be shuttled back and forth to and from the race site.
5K Starts at 8:00 AM
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Starts at 8:10 AM
To guarantee a race t-shirt, participants must register no later than noon Nov. 12th. After that, t-shirts are available while supplies last.
Awards Format
Three deep M/F Overall
One deep M/F Master, Grandmaster, and Veteran
Three deep M/F in the following age groups: 1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Awards must be claimed day of race at the race venue. Awards will not be mailed.

Inclement Weather Policy
Event will be ran rain, sunshine, or cold temperature.
In case of thunder and/or lightning, we will utilize the following guidelines for the safety of our participants, volunteers, and spectators: If we see lightning or hear thunder at the scheduled start time of the event, we will delay the start by fifteen (15) minutes. If lightning or thunder is still present after the ten minute period, we will delay the start for an additional fifteen (15) minutes. If lightning or thunder is still present at the end of the second fifteen minute delay, the event will be cancelled.
Referral Rewards
Participants will be assigned a unique personal url when they register. The participant can encourage their friends to use this url when they register for this event. The system will maintain a count of the number of registrations for each url. When five participants have registered using a participant's personal url, the participant with that url will receive a retroactive refund of $5 to the credit card that they used for registration.
Parking on Day of Race
Participants will park at Alpha Baptist Church and we will shuttle them back and forth to the race site.
