Description
Here's your chance to run a beautiful, challenging 5KM trail run in Wartburg TN, within a stone's throw of Frozen Head State Park, home of the infamous Barkley Marathons. WALKERS WELCOME! No one left behind.
The race begins and ends at the Wartburg Visitor's Center, and traverses mostly on the recently added Cumberland Trail.
Run a terrific course, hang around town for fun and food at the Mountain Laurel Festival, and maybe make the short drive over to visit Frozen Head State Park, or historic Brushy Mountain Prison!
All proceeds go to the Morgan Co Tourism Alliance to be used for the continued restoration of the Historical Tanner's Store.
Schedule of Events Race Day
Saturday May 20. All times Eastern Daylight Time
Race starts and finishes at the visitor's center in Wartburg; 3804 Morgan County Highway.
7am - 7:45. Day of Race late registration, and packet pick up.
8 am - Start of the Race
Be sure to get your finisher's award as you cross the line.
Results will be posted to this site immediately after the race.
