Beginner Gravel Clinic - Arlington p/b Insurance for Texans

Signup is required but free. Registered participants will receive emails with essential tools/links/information specific to the clinic. Please note, this is an informational/knowledge clinic. This is not intended to be a riding/skills clinic. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bikes for evaluation purposes and there are some excellent paved/mountain bike trails at River Legacy Park for those who would like to pedal after the clinic.

We consider safety as a key factor for years of enjoyable gravel and adventure cycling. This clinic is going to focus on that component so you can go out and enjoy the scenery with friends on a regular basis.

This is classified as a Beginner Gravel Clinic but the term "Beginner" covers a wide range of riding experience. This clinic is designed for both those newer to adult bicycle riding as well as experienced road and mountain bike riders/racers who are new to or curious about gravel riding. This is NOT a first time bike rider clinic. The expectation is that all participants already know how to ride a bike without training wheels.

Included Topics: Riding essentials (tools, nutrition, hydration), Basic Repair/Maintenance, Proper Attire, Bike Fit, Navigation, Fitness, Gravel Riding Safe Practices/Skills Needed.

Please note, we will be hosting a Club Spinistry ride on Sunday in Fort Worth. This ride will include a Beginner/No Drop component that is intended to provide an opportunity to apply the clinic information in a real world riding environment. Be sure to setup a free Ride With GPS account if you do not already have one. We will be providing access to the Ride With GPS navigation tools for class participants.
