Description

The Don't Quit 13.1 Half Marathon/5k is the First Ever Mental Health Awareness Half Marathon/5K created to help Stop the Stigma of Mental Health.

Benefiting NAMI North Texas
Since 2018, the Don't Quit Half Marathon/5k has been dedicated to giving back to the mental health community. We have recently created the Don't Quit Foundation which will continue to give back and support the race for years to come. Our goal is to spread Mental Health Awareness not only in the state of Texas but across the nation one step at a time!

We’re going virtual!

Due to health and safety concerns for runners, volunteers, sponsors, and staff, the Don’t Quit Half Marathon & 5K will be going virtual. Yup, we are still running and raising funds and awareness for mental health!

All participants who were registered for the 2020 Don’t Quit Half Marathon & 5K will be contacted directly regarding their registration options. You will have the choice of one of the following options:

·         Participate in the 2020 virtual race (with a partial refund if you signed up for the half marathon); you’ll also receive a 50% discount for the 2021 race once it is announced

·         Move your race entry to 2021

·         Donate the value of your entry fee to support The Don’t Quit Foundation and NAMI North Texas); you’ll also receive a 50% discount for the 2021 race once it is announced

Please let us know by Friday, July 31 with your preference.

Now more than ever, we are determined to change the conversation on mental health. With the current health and economic crises, depression, anxiety, and suicide rates are drastically increasing. Together, we can make a difference by tackling the miles to make sure that those struggling with their mental health won’t ever feel alone.

While this decision is disappointing, the health and well-being of everyone involved is our top priority. We appreciate your support and patience!

Sincerely,

The DQ Team
