Bold in the Cold 5K, 15K & Couch to 5K 2016
Join us for the Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers signature winter event, our Bold in the Cold 5K and 15K on Saturday, January 9, 2016. The race is 100% produced and supported by our club's expert volunteers. We are adding a Couch to 5K event this year, with training by RRCA-certified coaches.
The Bold in the Cold races wind through the beautiful trails around Lake Grapevine, combining tree canopies with breathtaking views of the lake. The 5K and 15K courses are USATF certified and will be well marked on race day. For a course map and directions to the start, go to lgraw.com.
We are using an IPICO chip timing system powered by Race Director software. The chips are designed to be attached to your shoe and are reliable as long as the chip is below your knee. Please remember to pick up your chip before the race on race day. A volunteer will remove it for you at the finish line after your final race.
LGRAW extends an open invitation to runners and walkers of all abilities to come out and join us for our weekend runs and walks every Saturday and Sunday starting at 7:00 a.m. at our Clubhouse at Oak Grove Park.

In order to provide on-site first aid by Baylor Sports Care we are required to share race participant information with the provider. We will share your name, date of birth and mailing address. If you would prefer that Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers not share your information with our race day medical provider, please email the race director at firstname.lastname@example.org to opt out of the information sharing. Baylor Sports Care assures us that they will not use your personal information for marketing purposes. However, you may receive their mailings as part of their marketing campaigns, but your address was obtained from other means, not as part of our race participant database.
All participants will receive a technical race shirt while supplies last. Sizes are gender specific. Please note that the women’s shirt is fitted. You may want to size up for a comfortable fit. You are welcome to choose either the women's, men's/unisex or youth shirt.
We will do our best to estimate the number of shirts needed for the event, but cannot predict the exact sizes needed for late registrants. To ensure that you receive a shirt in your desired size, please register before December 1. Registrations submitted after this date will receive whatever remaining sizes are available.
