Puppy Love 5K

Do you believe at love at first sight?? Join us at the First Puppy Love 5k and Sweetheart Stoll at
Warren Park, Hewitt TX February 17 th 9:00 AM.
Don’t swipe left, someone special could be waiting for you. Keep an eye on the Austin Boxer
Rescue Puppy Love 5k Facebook page to see who is available and will be attending the event.
Adoptable Boxers will be showcased. Love might be right around the corner. If you are a little
shy, ask one of our matchmakers for a formal introduction.
All well behaved dogs (not just boxers!) are welcome register for the 5K or 1 Mile and run or walk with their person.
Registered pups will receive their own race bibs and be entered for prizes.  They will not be timed.
Registrations before February 1st are guaranteed an event shirt. Overall and Age Group awards
are given to the chip timed 5K run winners.
The 5K timed run/walk and Sweetheart stroll untimed run/walk start at Warren Park, go briefly on a main road then into a
subdivision for an easy run. The 1 mile-ish Sweetheart stroll will start 15 minutes later. It is an
untimed following the same route at the 5k but with an earlier turn around. The best part of
the course is the slight downhill at the end!
Austin Boxer Rescue is in the process of purchasing a kennel facility on Hewitt Dr. in Hewitt. The
rescue currently saves about 500 boxers a year from Texas shelters. This acquisition will allow
us to save even more boxers and provide them with the top notch care they deserve during
their stay with us. We are excited about this new direction for the rescue and the Puppy Love
5k will be our way of saying "we're here, and we're glad to be a part of the Hewitt community!"

ABR is a 501c3 charitable organization run by volunteers and dedicated to rescuing dogs all over
Central and South Texas. Each rescued boxer receives needed vaccinations, medications, spay
or neuter, and heartworm test. They are placed in foster homes, treated, trained and matched
with a “forever family”.
