CoolxDad is a nonprofit dedicated to aiding and uplifting all fathers of color striving to build a better world for their families and serve their communities. The first annual CoolxDad 5K FunxRun will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Hennessy Park in Houston, Texas.
Our vision is to eradicate negative stigmas surrounding fathers of color by creating opportunities for men to heal, gather in fellowship, and be engaged with their families and communities. Proceeds from the run will go toward our winter programming, namely our slate of Color Box initiatives, including the holiday gift drive benefiting children from SEARCH homeless services; the From Us To You free holiday portrait session for families; Knight's Table dinners; supplies; transportation; event & location costs; and more. The CoolxDad 5K FunxRun will also highlight the importance of physical and mental well-being and create an opportunity for families to make memories and annual traditions together.
