Super Heroes vs Villains 1/2 Marathon, 5k & Family 1 Mile run/walk

Heart & Sole Races is Proud to Present the 2nd Annual Heroes vs Villains Half Marathon, 5K & 1 Mile Family Fun Run

Date:  Sunday March 1st, 2020 1/2 Marathon Starts @7:00 AM, 5k, 7:10, 1 Mile 7:20

Location: MacGregor Park, 5225 Calhoun Rd, Houston, TX 77021

 BIB Pick-Up & Day of Registration:  Saturday February, 29th 1;00PM to 6:00 PM Bib Pick-Up will take place @ Run On!  by Jack Rabbit  located @ W Gray St, Houston, TX 77019 (You may also register the day of the event and  pick up your bib under the pavilion starting at 5:30AM) 

(T-Shirt Deadline is Friday February 21st, after that, shirts will be first come first serve while supplies LAST!!)

Parking: There is ample parking in MacGregor park and the surrounding area.  We suggest arriving early!!

POST RACE AWARDS:  Will take place  around 10:45 by or under the pavilion, to go with a terrific post race spread from some of your favorite local food trucks that will appease every runner's appetite.  (A radio station or DJ will be on site!!)  Awards will be raced themed!!  The TOP 3 in each race will receive HUGE cups/trophies.  The AGE group winners will receive a unique award that is  RACE THEMED and SURE to Please!!

Course: * New Course this year:  1/2 Marathon will be an out and back on Brays Bayou,  5k will follow the 1/2 Marathon Route and turn around at  1.55 Miles.  Courses will be USATF certified.  The 1 Mile will be one lap around the park.  The Course Map can be found here:  https://heartandsoleraces.com/superheroes-vs-villains

Amenities: Awesome Race THEMED finisher's Medal to ALL participants in the 1/2 and 5k.   You Choose, Hero or Villain Tech Shirt.  Additional Race themed Swag as well!!  The 1 Mile run/walk will also have special swag for kids.   Including masks and a goodie bag!!

Aid Stations: We will have aid stations w/a first aid kit, Water and Gatorade and a few treats Approx; every two miles!! (Also, a few may have some treats as well!!)

Proceeds: Part of the proceeds will benefit the Snow Drop Foundation. They are an amazing charity that has helped numerous children and their families.  Please take a second and visit their website: (http://snowdropfoundation.org/) 

FEES: Half marathon- $50 until 9/1/2019, $60 until 10/1/2019, $65 until 12/1/2019, $70 until 2/1/2020, $75 until and ON Race Day  5k- $25 until 10/1/2019, $30 until 12/1/2019,  $35 until 2/1/2020, $40 until and ON Race Day  1Mile Walk Run- $15 with no Shirt, $22 with the Tech Shirt!!

Awards:  Top 3 Male & Female to go with top masters Male & Female (40+.) There are also age group  awards  for both male and female runners.  The top 5 best costumes will be awarded as well. Teams- Top 2 fastest teams based on time and the top 2 teams with the most participants will receive awards.

Age Groups: (Both 1/2 & 5k) 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

T-Shirts: Amazing race themed Short sleeve tech shirt to participants in ALL events- 1/2, 5k & 1Mile!! (Two Styles!! One for Villains and one for Heroes!!)

Teams: Create a Team for your family, work or friends!!  Teams MUST consist of at least 5 people

Theme: When you register you will be asked if you want to be a VILLAIN  or a HERO. There will be two different shirts. One for Villains and one for Heroes!!

Finisher's Medal: A unique Custom Medal will be provide to all participants in both the 1/2 & 5k!!

Time Limit: 4 1/2 hours

Finish Line: There will be a live dj/entertainer at the start/finish area during the duration of the race
