Rally your teammates and mark your team calendar for the Tri Team Challenge at the 2018 Sylvan Beach Triathlon! Designed to build team spirit and generate some friendly competition among teams, the Tri Team Challenge invites clubs to come together and compete to win some terrific prizes including $500 cash to the first place team. Let’s see what your team can do against the best teams in town in a fun, competitive environment where you also have the opportunity to raise money for your team and a charity of your team’s choice as well!

TEAM PRIZES:
1st Place Team:
• $500.00;
• 8 free entries into the 2019 Sylvan Beach Triathlon to defend your title.

2nd Place Team:
• $300.00;
• 5 free entries into the 2019 Sylvan Beach Triathlon.

3rd Place Team:
• $100.00;
• 3 free entries into the 2018 Sylvan Beach Triathlon.

Team with the Most Participants:
•$200.00 


TO ENTER:
Each Team must enter with 8 members to qualify as an official team. At least 3 of those members must be female. At least 2 of the 8 members, either male or female, must be entered in the duathlon.
Each Team must designate a Team Contact to be the Team’s Contact person. The Team Captain is responsible to submit a Team roster to Lisa at lisa_tm66@yahoo.com no later than June 7, 2018. NO CHANGES ARE PERMITTED TO TEAM ROSTERS AFTER THIS DATE. SUBSTITUTIONS MAY BE MADE FOR INJURY OR OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE DISCRETION OF EVENT MANAGEMENT.
All team members must register individually online and must include their team name in the question that asks for “Club or Team Name.”
A Team Time will be calculated for each Team based on the cumulative time of the Team’s fastest 2 females followed by the next 3 fastest team members participating in the triathlon. Added to that time will be the fastest of the two duathlon participates. That is, the team score will be based on 6 times: the times of the two fastest females participating in the triathlon, the next three fastest times (male or female) from the triathlon and the fastest time (male or female) for the duathlon.
The Team with the fastest overall Team Time wins! The Team with the second fastest time will be awarded 2nd place, and the Team with the third fastest time will be awarded 3rd place.
