Distance Challenge 2024

We are thrilled to bring the first ever 2024 SRC Distance Challenge!  Our goal is to promote and celebrate mileage goals for the year and encourage runners in the club to set challenging goals throughout the year.  We have special awards as you hit landmark mileage or "cities" throughout the year.  In order for us to track and monitor mileage there are a few rules:  

1. Runner must be a member of SRC Facebook Group 
2. Runner must be affiliated with SRC on Strava and allow Julie to follow you. 
3. Strava miles are the only miles tracked so you must log all participating miles on Strava.
4. Miles must be logged as "Running" miles not "Distance" miles. We will only count the runs.  If you use walk/run method, that's fine, log as you normally would in Strava. 
5. Sorry Ironman, hikers, peletons and rowers those extra miles won't get you to a city, but we still think you are super cool.    

The event fee is assist with expenses/meet ups throughout the year.  However, you will be enticed with Distance Challenge T-shirt in the SRC Store when available in the Spring.  Only registered runners will receive "Distance Awards" (to be revealed soon)
