Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

Start your holiday season at the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot! Community Healthcore's Foundation presents their 5th annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.  Spring Lake Park is the place to be on Thanksgiving morning.  Join our family tradition of a 5K, 1 mile fun walk, costume contests and free kids sprints.  New this year we have free mobile video gaming, emergency vehicles for exploration, music and more.  Make a new family tradition with us, snow, rain or shine, we will be there.  Race will not be cancelled for weather but other events may cancel.    Sign up early to take advantage of the lower fee.  Race starts at 8 am, on site registration starts at 7 am.  Shirts are guaranteed for pre-registeration and available only as long as they last for on-site registration.  Community Healthcore is a non-profit agency that is the local Mental Health Authority for 9 counties, including Bowie, Cass and Red River Counties.  Community Healthcore provides Mental Health Services to children and adults, programming for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Substance Use Disorder and assisting homeless Veterans.  We are currently expanding our Children's Mental Health Department in Texarkana.    Come on out and celebrate Texarkana's Original 5th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Foundation to be used in various forms of client services, unmet needs and other assistance without a funding source. No part of donations are used for administrative costs.
