The Bush's Chicken Run is around the corner! The race this year will be starting and ending at Woodway Elementary, 325 Estates Dr.
This family fun race this year will benefit La Puerta-Waco. La Puerta means the door and the logo is a key. We believe that every person in the community deserves to be heard and have an opportunity for their needs to be met. We believe that an empowering and loving environment can impact not only their lives but also the next generations of Spanish speakers in Waco. The mission of La Puerta is to be a ministry of accompaniment, which means walking alongside the community practice of hospitality that seeks to connect the Hispanic/Latino community with the social, legal, mental health, and medical services they need.
With your registration, you will receive a Chicken Run t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chance to win a door prize. There will also be tea and chicken rolls at the finish for all registrants!
This race is a chip-timed 5k. There will also be an untimed 1-mile fun run beginning at the same time.
The race route will be stroller-friendly and allow dogs on leashes.
*We will be having packet pick-up on Friday, April 14th at the MAC at First Woodway from 4:30-6:30.
Awards to the top two overall M/F winners, and top three M/F per age group. No duplicate awards.
Age groups: 14&U, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
