The New Orleans Track Club will follow all state and local protocols as they pertain to COVID-19 safety. NOAC Turkey Day Race events will be held exclusively in outdoor venues, and a participant cap will be set to ensure we maintain less than 50% capacity at Tad Gormley Stadium and in City Park.
COVID-19 restrictions, per the City of New Orleans website, dictate that masks are strongly recommended for outdoor events of 500+ people if total event attendance is less than 50% of the outdoor venue's capacity. Because the NOAC Turkey Day Race will maintain a field that is less than 50% of the outdoor event venue, a COVID vaccine or negative PCR test is NOT required.
The health and safety of event participants, club members, volunteers, and spectators is always our main priority. We will monitor safety protocols leading up to race day, and follow them accordingly. Should any changes to local and state policy occur, we will make those announcements here on the official website and the NOTC social media accounts (@runNOTC).
