The 10K follows the 5K route to Prince Lake. A short section of 2-way brings you into Bald Mountain Recreation Area, and a clockwise loop of the orange trail (see Bald Mountain Trail Map link under the Race Info tab above), where the path is well-maintained (with one small area that can get a little wet after a lot of rain). (Ok, there were ducks swimming on the path last year, so it gets a lot wet, but there is a diversion round the side of the duck pond.)
You'll be on your own a lot of the way, but you'll see a road crossing marshal just after 5K to help cross the driveway into the parking lot (they're there to help, but your safety is your responsibility). Shortly after that you'll see the second water / aid station a little before the 6K mark, where the 10 milers will turn off. At around 7.5K you're back on the 2-way, and half a K later get a second chance at the water / aid station you passed earlier. From here, the route continues up the farm track, then merges with the 5K route at 8.5K as you enter the winding single track through the woods.
