Love Your Neighbor 5k

The 2nd Annual Love Your Neighbor 5k, presented by Park View Mission, is open to runners and walkers of all abilities. Experience a flat, beautiful, course in one of Lynchburg's most picturesque parks. The course begins and ends within the Peaks View Park grounds, winds through calming trails, and a peaceful river. Family-friendly course setting. Easy out and back, paved trail. Come join us!

RUN OR WALK WITH US....

Come run or walk our 5K with us to help us keep our 5 programs running during COVID-19.  Park View Community Mission is a 501c3, non profit here in the heart of Lynchburg.  We support the low income community with help, healing and hope.  Our 5 programs, Food for Families, Food for Thought, Life Skills Institute, Park View Cafe and the Community Resource Center, are all growing at a rapid pace as we meet the needs of our neighbors.  Due to the pandemic, the need has been even greater, and closing has never been an option for us.  Will you make it your mission to help us with ours?

5K - Saturday November 7, 2020:  
$25 (September 15th  -  November 5th) || $30 (November 6th - November 7th)

Due to COVID-19 mandates our 5K event is limited to 250 participants.

Virtual 5K - Saturday November 7 - Sunday November 8, 2020
$25 (September 15th  -  November 8th)

Assisted Participants:
We are pleased to provide an opportunity for assisted participants to enjoy race day. An assisted participant is typically being pushed in a stroller "appropriate" for the event (ie.. hand break, tether, appropriate wheels). Both the participant being pushed and the pusher are required to register for this event. Assisted participants will start prior to the start and be ranked separately from the event. Both the pusher and assisted participant should indicate this classification during the registration process for our planning purposes.

Registration fees are non-transferable & non-refundable. An entry can only be used for the person registered for the entry. Entries cannot be deferred to the following year or a future event.
If our 5K is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions/mandates all participates will be moved to our "virtual" 5K event.

Please note:  Virtual 5K participants registered prior to October 27th can have their packets mailed to them for an additional fee of $8.00. This option can be selected during registration. 

T-SHIRTS:

Participants registered on or before Friday, October 24th are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt. A limited number of extra shirts will be available on a first-come basis at packet pickup.  

AWARDS:  

Are you joining us race day at Peaks View Park?  5K finishers receive a limited edition, "Love Your Neighbor" coffee mug.

Top 3 Male Overall, Top 3 Female Overall, Top 3 in each age group (12 I& under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Up)
