Saturday or Sunday Group Runs! You pick your weekend day.    Location: Group runs will be held at in the Willow Lawn Shopping Center.

Winter Training Team Options
Program:  Stay in Shape Program / 10k Prep Training
New to running or haven't run in awhile, or just want to stay in shape during the winter, then this is the program for you.  This program will have a designated coach and mileage will vary up to 6 or 7 mile runs over the course of the training.  Use this to prepare for the Monument Avenue 10k or just to stay in shape.  Either way, come run with us and enjoy a family like group to run with.
Cost: $35.00 (Anytime — April 6)

Program:  Half Marathon Program -  starts December 1
If you are a returning Race Team RVA member or want to train for a half marathon training, this is the program for you. Those who register for this program will begin with the base-building program and move right into half marathon training in January without the hassle of additional registration.  The training period will align to the Shamrock Half Marathon (weekend of March 16-17), but you can adjust the schedule and run any spring half marathon race.  Program continues a few weeks after Shamrock for those that want to also run the Monument Avenue 10k race in Richmond on April 13.
Cost: $35.00 (December 1 — April 6)

Program: Strength Training and Coached Weekday Runs – Starts December 4
Race Team RVA Running Club and Endorphin Fitness have teamed up to bring you a limited time special to help you improve your fitness and running.  This option will help improve your overall fitness and increase your running performance as you prepare to enter the summer 2019 season.  Start the 2019 summer with a new level of fitness geared to helping you reach your maximum potential as a runner.  Cost: $50 / mo special Race Team RVA pricing through March.

Practice Options for Strength Training & Coached Weekday Runs
Strength - Tuesdays 7-7:30 am & 7-7:30 pm at Endorphin Fitness
Coached Run - Thursdays 6-7 am & 6-7 pm at Trinity Episcopal School

The strength class focuses on prehab and strength development for the runner and endurance athlete.  Prevent injury, increase endurance, and maximize speed.  

The coached run is a structured workout led by an expert coach.  Workouts focus on technique development alongside a structured progression of intensity to get you to your next PR.  

Other Options
Endorphin Fitness offers private technique analysis and form work, VO2 max & heart rate testing, and personal coaching.  Race Team RVA will receive a 10% discount on all of these individual coaching services through March.

Program:  Couch to 10k Program -  starts January 12
If you are looking for a program that prepares you to run your first 10k, or you are a returning runner that needs a plan to get back into running shape, then this is the program for you.   This program is a 12 week plan that takes you from the couch to running the Monument Avenue 10k on April 13.   Chose from a Sunday or Saturday option.
Cost: $35.00 (December 1 — April 6)

Requirements for the half marathon training program: Must be able to run a minimum of 3 miles by Jan 5.
Must be at least 16 years old to participate. (under 16 requires a parent or guardian permission)

Refund Policy – If you change your mind about participating in our programs, we are happy to honor your decision as long as the refund request is made before January 15, 2019.  To request a refund, please submit your request in writing to Dan Blankenship, info.rvaraces@gmail.com. A check will be processed once the refund has been accepted and approved.
