Jingle Bell Ruck

Mission Statement:

QCR22 (Queen City Rucking for 22) will endeavor to bring people together to enjoy the giving nature of the Christmas Season. QCR22 participants (ruckers) will carry their Ruck Packs filled with nonperishable food items and presents (toys or clothing) through a led "Ruck" of Staunton VA. These items will be donated to the Valley Mission, Staunton area's homeless shelter.. 

This mission will not be about the miles but about the spirit of giving. 

Holidays can be depressing for some.  PTSD can be exacerbated by lack of exercise, stangacity, and isolation.  While the event will raise money for the Boulder Crest Foundation, the primary purpose is community wellness.  The act of moving forward and doing good for a community while doing so, is powerful medicine. Participants will be encouraged to “drop” emotional weight through providing a blessing to someone else.  By the end of the Ruck, Rucker’s soul will hopefully feel light.

Registration is $35, and donations are always welcome. With registration you will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt. Sweatshirts and beanies will be available for purchase at the mission event.

If you're not into rucking, but want to enjoy the fellowship, join us at the start, drop your non-perishables, and either hang out there until the return (approximately 1.5 hours) or take that time to visit shops, find an eatery, or whatever makes you happy!  Rejoin us as we return and simply hang out.
