The 2020 Race to the Top of Bradford has been changed to a virtual race.
What is a virtual race?
Virtual races are events that can be completed by participants over a range of time, in this case June 1st to June 30th.
Why offer a virtual race option?
- Preserves the continuity and tradition of Race to the Top of Bradford.
- Raises money for the Bradford Food Shelf and The Space on Main.
- Allows runners to participate in an event when we cannot physically run together
- Offers a sense of accomplishment similar to the experience of participating in a real event
There are no entry fees, but please consider making a donation. Your donations for this special 2020 virtual race will be evenly split between the Bradford Food Shelf and The Space on Main (www.thespaceonmain.org). During the registration process you will be asked if you would like to make a donation.
Run the course as many times as you want during the month of June. Submit your time, or just that you completed the course with no time, on our race page www.runsignup.com/race/VT/Bradford/RacetotheTopofBradfordVirtualRace on the "results" tab on the left side of the page. Timing is on your honor. No GPS verification required. There will be no awards. Just satisfaction and a sense of community. Submit all results by end of day June 30th.
The race courses will have limited markings, so it will be your responsibility to know the route! There will be no supervision of this race, so participate at your own risk! Conditions will be variable and are not checked! The race waiver has important release of liability information and you will be required to review and initial during your online registration.
Also, we want to pass on that there will be a new fall 5k and 1.5 mile event on Wrights Mountain coming up on Saturday October 10th. For more details and registration, please see: ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=72383
