Aid Stations can be a bit hectic. Racers flying in and needing things ASAP can be stressful. We appreciate your help in making their day on the bike possible. Our goal is to provide each racer with the best experience we can. Treat them like family (even when they may show up at your tent all fired up) and understand that it’s not personal.

● Aid Station Leader:
○ Will determine positions for other volunteers
○ Make sure everything is set up before arrival of first racer
○ Ensure all volunteers are treating racers and community members with respect and courtesy

● Water Filling

○ GU drink mixes will be placed next to water jugs

Details

Meeting Place: Aid Station 4/5 : Oak Creek (Intersection of CR 33 and Rt 29)

SBT Contact: Greer Van Dyck 970-846-0617

Aid Stations can be a bit hectic. Racers flying in and needing things ASAP can be stressful. We appreciate your help in making their day on the bike possible. Our goal is to provide each racer with the best experience we can. Treat them like family (even when they may show up at your tent all fired up) and understand that it’s not personal.

Key Responsibilities:

**Be encouraging, cheerful and excited to see racers-you never know what kind of day a person is having out there and you can absolutely influence that in a positive way**
● Aid Station Leader:
○ Will determine positions for other volunteers
○ Make sure everything is set up before arrival of first racer
○ Ensure all volunteers are treating racers and community members with respect and courtesy

● Water Filling
○ Utilize tanks/bottles/hose to make sure water is always available and full. This is one of the most important parts of the Aid Station.
○ GU drink mixes will be placed next to water jugs

● Food Prep
○ Make sure fruit is cut and available
○ Make Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches
○ Organize GU products

● Trash Clean Up
○ Make sure trash is picked up within a 500 yard radius
○ Collect all wrappers in specific GU TerraCycle containers

● Tear Down
○ Take down all tables, tents, etc.
○ Pack into available totes/boxes to be moved to other stations
○ Take down tents
