Details

The Packet Pick Up Table is for preregistered participants only. Volunteers will be responsible for obtaining participant names and ensuring the correct bib, shirt and good bags are distributed to runners.

Volunteers should arrive at 5:30am to assist in setting up the tables, organizing bibs and shirts in order to be ready for the 6:30am registration time.

Details

The Registration Table is for those who have not yet registered. Volunteers will be responsible for receiving registration forms and waivers, assigning and distributing bibs/chips and accepting payment for registration fees.

Volunteers should arrive at 5:30am to assist in setting up the tables, organizing bibs and shirts in order to be ready for the 6:30am registration time.

Details

This position ensures that only people attending the event are permitted on 17th St W. The Emerson Pointe Preserve is closed to the public and cars during the race.

Club Table

Details

This position requires an individual who is familiarized with club membership, benefits, activities and the like. The volunteer will assist in accepting new membership applications, selling club merchandise and providing complimentary shirts to eligible members. Volunteer will be expected to accept money on the clubs behalf.

Door Prize Table

Details

The Door Prize Table will be responsible for distributing prizes to winners. Door prizes will be drawn randomly by bib #. Door prizes will be distributed following the race. Please arrive by 7:00am

Prerace Hydration

Details

This volunteer position will arrive to assist in setting up the coolers with Gatorade and water for participants prior to the race.

Lead Bike

Details

The bike will lead the way for the lead runners to ensure they follow the race course correctly.

Please arrive by 6:30am to do a dry run and familiarize yourself with the course.

Course Sweep

Details

This volunteer will be available to follow the last runner and pick up any cones, signs, etc that were used to mark the course. This volunteer must have a valid driver's license.

Starter

Details

The Starter ensures that runners are behind the starting line. The Starter also ensures that the fastest runners are at the front of the pack and any slower runners, children or walkers are placed toward the back.

Private Rd Marshal/Park Entrance

Details

This course marshal will be placed at the entrance to the park to ensure any vehicles traveling toward the park entrance are for official reasons only.

Course Marshal - Start/Speed bump

This course marshal will be placed at the starting line area to warn people about the speed bump and ensure runners stay on the path.

This course marshal will be placed on the South Trail which is also mile 1 and will stand at the intersection of the South Restoration Trail and the South Trail Loop.

Course Marshal - 1 mile timer & finish chute marshal

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This course marshal will be placed at the 1 mile marker to call out the current time to runners as they pass. After the last runner has passed the mark, this volunteer will move to the finish chute to assist with corralling runners toward the chute and ensuring spectators stay off the course.

This course marshal will stand at the crossroad of the paved road and the south trail to ensure runners head toward the finish chute in the right direction.
