Details

Gets prize levels from Registrar and packs up the prizes earned based on amount of money raised. Once complete will give prize pack to the assigned Registrar you are working with. Box up and tear down when registration table closes. Will report directly to assigned Registrar.

Details

Distribute water along the trail to the runners or animals. Resupply as needed. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee. Will distribute fruit, granola bars and water at end point

Silent Auction Monitor High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Monitor bids and silent auction items throughout event. Once announced auction bidding is complete, tally up the winner of each item and submit to the assigned Humane Society Employee to announce. Monitor items and distribute as you receive receipts of payment by individuals. Tear down tables, chairs and clean up as needed when complete. Will report directly to Humane Society Employee or Assigned Volunteer in Charge

Help with Pet Contests-Will assist with implementing assigned contest. Will ensure prizes are distributed to winners, and gather information to and from the judges. Will report directly to the Head of Contest Programming.

Concession Worker Medium Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Will help dispense hotdogs, chips or beverages to participants. Will communicate with Head of concessions if in need of additional supplies or needs. Will ensure concession is organized and well stocked. Will help clean up at the end of the event as needed. Will report directly to the Head of Concessions.

Water Boy/Girl- 1 Mile Walk High Priority

Details

Distribute water along the trail to the walkers or animals. Resupply as needed and tear down when run/walk is complete. Will report directly to a Humane Society Employee.

Security Aide Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Walks around before, during and after event. Keeps eyes open for unattended animals not on leash or running. Keeps eyes open for inappropriate activity and reports everything to Humane Society Staff.

Off Site Adoption Aide Medium Priority

Details

Will assist Humane Society Employee with holding, walking, supporting and all things necessary throughout event for possible adoptions of animals brought. Will report directly to Humane Society Employee.

Clean Up Crew

Details

Will help clean up entire event area, litter, signs, tables, chairs and all equipment used and load up to transport back to the Siouxland Humane Society. Will report directly to a Siouxland Humane Society Employee.
