Race Day Volunteer & Award Table

Staff table for volunteer check in; help with SSL forms for eligible students; distribute age category top finisher awards. Due to SSL activities, must be managed by adult. *Not eligible for SSL hours.

Water Station (On 6K Course)

Details

Set up water station. Fill and hand out cups of water to runners. After runners go by, you will clean up the station by raking up cups and placing in trash. We will try to assign students to work with adults managing the station. *Eligible for SSL hours

Start/Finish Water & Snacks Station

Assist in setting up and maintaining tent with water, drinks, and snacks for race participants; provide water to race finishers. *Eligible for SSL hours

Race Day General Floater

Assist wherever needs arise; get familiarity with full operations in advance in order to troubleshoot and answer questions on race day. *Eligible for SSL hours

Sponsor/Vendor Coordination

Post-Race Road Sign Removal

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

After the 6K race ends, we need volunteers to promptly remove the road/lane closure signs and no parking signs from the 6K race course. We will provide a detailed map with the location of all signs that need to be cut down and discarded. We recommended at least 2 people do this task as a pair and that you drive around to take down the signs. Because it involves driving around the course, it is best to have an adult as part of the 2-person team. *Eligible for SSL hours
