We should also explore opportunities to spread word about the race with middle and high schools. Flyers do not go home in backpacks for them, but we can post flyers and seek Race Ambassadors in the student body. We also want to send letters to nearby private schools to encourage them to create teams and spread word about the race within their community. *Eligible for SSL hours

Sponsor Solicitation

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

We need help contacting businesses (or individuals) in the area for support for the race. This task will be focusing on cash sponsorships. Businesses who want to make in-kind donations (i.e., gift cards, services, etc.), will generally be directed to participating in our Fall 2020 Gala.

If you are willing to help, please sign up! We will provide you with electronic and hard copies of our sponsorship materials, which will also be available on our website.

Even if you just have time to approach a few businesses, that would be a huge help! Think of the stores you frequent already, and perhaps they would be good options! Once you sign up, we will coordinate with you to avoid any duplication.
