We need assistance setting up the transition area, start/finish line and water station on the courses at Biltmore Estate. This duty requires heavy lifting and manual labor. We suggest that if you have a truck available that you also bring that with you.

Race Day Event and Course Set Up Medium Priority

Details

We need assistance setting up signs, tents, water stations, traffic cones, parking areas, tables, etc on race morning. Need to be comfortable lifting and doing some manual labor. Not afraid to get dirty! We may need someone with a truck to bring some things out on this day too, so let us know if you can haul some things.

Race Day Packet Pick-up and Registration

Assist with packet pick-up and registration. If you can assist with packet pick-up on Saturday at DoubleTree, please sign up for this too. Then you will be rehearsed and ready to go for race morning packet pickup. This position is located at the Group Sales office (the first building on the right when you enter Biltmore). Please plan to stay for another volunteer post since this position only requires 2 hours of time. 

Clean up/Sag

Clean up/Sag/pick up signs on east side after gravel grinder goes thru, 10k and 1st 5k and water station #1, Take out supplies to West Side (Ingles food) before race starts Sunday

Transition Area

This volunteer task is full.

Details

Assist in transition area, before and during the event. Let folks know the flow in/out of transition and do not let spectators/family members go into transition with the athletes. Assist during the race with the bikes + runners coming in and out. 

Start and Finish Line Assistance

Details

Assist with the start and finish line area with set up, direction to the participants where things are located and to do manual results for the events. 

Water Station on Run Course - #1

Details

Set up water station and then hand out water during the entire event, break down station and clean up. If you can stay to assist in event clean-up, we would appreciate any and all help in collecting signs from around the water stations and loading trucks, etc. We want you to cheer everyone on at this station, so be lively and have fun!

Cycling MTB Marshalls

Details

Assist with the course marshal jobs on course. Please bring your bike for this job. Please be prepared to assist with following the last runners, working hard-to-get to turnarounds (will need to get there by bike), and assist with the west side cycling portion of the event (replacing bike tubes, etc.). The bike course marshals have a KEY role in this event. We will need you to be available to be on your bikes pretty much throughout the entire event and IN ANY AND ALL TYPES OF WEATHER. 

Lap Counters

Details

Counting laps and tracking cyclists on the west side of the estate while they do laps. Reporting items to Results Tent at Finish Line. Bring a chair, some lunch, snacks and be prepared for any and all types of weather. We will provide lap counting sheets and a tent for you to set up on the west side when you arrive.

Water Station (west side of estate)

Details

This water station is located on the more primitive, west side of the estate. Cyclists will be refilling water bottles and electrolyte drinks and re-fueling with some food items since they will be spending hours doing laps on this side of the estate. 

Water Station #2 (Westover Trails)

Vendor Area - 2nd Shift
