Marketers and Public Relations Volunteers are skilled at making our event look exciting and welcoming everyone to sign up to run or walk. We do advertising by email, distribute flyers and posters, and write letters to vendors and possible donors. Any new ideas for who we can reach out to are highly valued! We also do follow up with our vendors. Additionally, we want you to spread the word to make the 5K a showstopper! Reach out to radio stations, newspapers, and local news channels to entice them to cover our 5K and put Sister 2 Sister on the map.

Run Signup Database

You must be 21-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

The signup database is a great way to track how many people sign up for our event, but it's also a lot of work. Database volunteers can work with Sister 2 Sister staff to troubleshoot payment problems, accept checks from participants, and keep track of how many people have signed up as walkers and as runners. Finally, we print reports on registration sign ups on-site

Vendor Assistant/ Refreshments

You must be 16-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Volunteers who want to be vendor assistants make sure that vendors are comfortable and can verify their payment at the end of the day. Refreshments volunteers offer water and healthy snacks to participants.

Team Leaders

You must be 21-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

Team Leaders recruit teams of 10 to run or walk the 5K. They encourage members to open their own page, inform other team leaders to set goals, and advise that the team that raises the most money gets a gift at the end of the day.

Registration - General

You must be 18-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

Registration volunteers are a group of about 6-8 people who register participants at the facility, handle the cash lines, and 2 additional people will handle the runners

Details

We need a lot of people to make this 5K run smooth. People who are familiar with Colonial Park would be excellent here. We need you to make announcements, make sure the agenda for the day is on schedule, maintain water stations, help with set up and clean up, safety, maintain the welcome tent, guest services, the kids' zone, and the balloons!

Title: COURSE MONITOR (8 Stops - 16-24+)

Duties:
Assist runners with proper directions to follow the course.
Collect trash created by the participants
Provide support for runners by cheering them on.
