Help register racers, hand out t-shirts, goodie bags. Be the first impression of the race for our visitors.

Body Marking

Details

Write participant numbers on their arms and legs with a marker prior to the start.

Boat Drivers

Details

Drive OWN boat (kayak, paddleboard, canoe, motorboat, waverunner) as well as transport lifeguards around swim course. Help keep racers on course during swim portion of race.

Lifeguards

Details

Take positions in boats, floats or on land to help keep this race safe. Bring any rescue equipment you prefer be it rescue boards or buoys.
MUST be currently CERTIFIED lifeguard. This position is PAID.

Transition Area Security/Assistance

Details

wristband all racers as they arrive to transition area on race morning. Maintain a presence inside the transition area (where the bicycles are kept) to ensure that only participants enter and exit this area. Direct racers through transition area.

Transition Area Take Down

Details

Assist with the dismantling of the bike racks and transition area. Help get bike racks on to truck and back into barn at the farm.

Parking Control

Details

Assist with directing the arriving and departing automobiles (participants, spectators, and volunteers) in and out of the parking areas at the GLCC.

Swim Exit

July 19, 2020

Details

Assist racers exiting the water and directing them to the transition area. Keep path between swim exit and transition area clear of spectators.

Course Volunteer - Bike

Details

Monitor an intersection to prevent collisions between participants and vehicles. Ensure that participants go the correct way.

Course Volunteer Bike Dismount

Details

Assist racers as they finish the bike and transition to the run making sure they dismount their bikes in a safe manner well before dismount line.

Course Volunteer - Run

Details

Direct racers along course in correct direction. Make traffic aware of race going on.
**If under 16 years old, must volunteer with an adult for this area**

Water Stations

Details

Report to water stations and hand out water and energy drink to races.

Finish Line Assistance

Details

Make sure all racers enter this area. Assist racers into the finish and direct them to food and water.

Food Tent

July 19, 2020

Details

Assist with prepping food beneath the food tent on race day and distributing it to racers. Assist with clean up after event.

Awards

July 19, 2020

Details

Assist race director in handling out and recording the awards as they are given. After short course finish and then again at long course finish.
