Description

In 2015, Angela and Andy Keatts, of Cheney, WA, journeyed to China to bring home their beautiful daughter Preslie after a nearly two-year adoption journey.  Preslie is now a bustling four-year-old girl who enjoys dance, music, swimming, being outdoors, and spending time with her loving family.  We are writing today to ask you to join the Keatts family as they embark on another adoption journey to bring another little blessing from China into their family.

In October of last year, Angela shared the following message on behalf of her family:

“We are so excited to announce that we will be bringing another child home from China!!!! Most of you know our story but for those who don't, we decided to choose adoption when we were unable to carry a pregnancy. I (Angela) found out right before Andy and I were married that my body might struggle to carry a baby due to a blood clotting abnormality that I have. With a little help from our Doctor also a family friend we were able to become pregnant 3 times. But we then lost all three pregnancies. After we lost our third baby we decided to look in to adoption. Adoption was something we had already had on our hearts but thought we would adopt later in life. Well, God had a different plan. Andy and I were and continue to be so blessed by the love and support we have received through our first adoption. We were very hesitant at first to ask for financial help from family and friends, but a pastor at an adoption conference we went to said, "If it's in your hearts to adopt, the finances will come." So, we took a huge leap of faith and signed the papers to adopt a beautiful little girl from China. In about a year we were fully funded!!!! It wasn't easy, we made lots of sacrifices and where blessed by so many amazing people. Here we are now celebrating two years as a family of three and taking giant leap of faith to bringing another child into our home. We are so excited, and Preslie can't wait to become a big sister!!!”

Shortly after this announcement, the Keatts family were thrilled to be matched with their future son, Jung.  Jung is three years old and was born deaf, though he now has a cochlear implant that will allow him to hear.  He has a lot to learn and will need a great deal of resources and support in order to thrive as he grows up.  Undoubtedly, he will be surrounded by love and support when he comes home to Cheney to be a part of the Keatts family.  When he finally comes home, he will also receive his new name: Carter Ray Keatts.

To help bring Carter Ray home, we are holding a 5K Fun Run/Walk Event on Saturday, April 21st at Waterfront Park in Medical Lake.  This fundraiser seemed very fitting, as Angela has long been a part of the running and Triathlon community in the Spokane Region, and the excitement of a 5K race will match the excitement of the Keatts family adoption efforts.

Please Join-Us for this Event. Proceeds from race registration will go DIRECTLY to the Keatts Family Adoption Costs.
