Birds of Prey is Back!
In 2014, with the help of community members and race participants like you, 22 high school and middle students ran as members of the first Bulldog XC team in 15 years. In 2015, that number grew to include our first ever middle school participants. Our growing program continues to cultivate a love for the best sport in the world.
Through our fundraising efforts, we have been able to purchase jerseys, a travel canopy, and provide technical shirts for all of our athletes while beginning a tradition of community outreach and volunteerism that benefits the kids and those around them. This year we hope to raise funds for team warm ups, provide basic training essentials such as shoes for runners with financial hardship, pay for meets and training camp. Thank you for your continued support.
About the Race:
Travel along the majestic riverside trails of Strawberry Island while taking in some of the most awe inspiring geological eye candy ever created. The race starts on the quaint paved pathways of the town of North Bonneville, WA before transitioning onto grass trails and gritty terrain that will bring back the nostalgia of cross country courses of yesteryear. The race makes its way towards the modern marvel of engineering that is Bonneville Dam before doubling back for a tour of the town of North Bonneville and their lovely Heritage Trail on your way to the final finishing chute. Enjoy the scenery, enjoy the course and enjoy the people as we present the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. All proceeds go to the expenses incurred keeping a high school cross country program up and running with gear and travel.
