Description
Join Pierce County Recovery Coalition for our inaugural Hands Across the Bridge for Recovery event!
“Recovering addicts joining together to break the stigma of “once an addict always an addict.” Matt Bradley of The Deadliest Catch
This family friendly event begins at McKinley Park in Tacoma at 11:00 AM. While at the park there will be an opportunity for you to create signs with personal messages to hold on the bridge. We will head over to the McKinley Bridge overpass, which crosses over I-5 by the Tacoma Dome around 12:15. Afterwards, we will return to the park for a free BBQ lunch, several guest speakers - including Matt Bradley, and have the opportunity to interact with representatives from several Recovery resources. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, kids welcome.
~Narcan trainings will be available on a first come - first serve basis. (Sign up at the event)
