Oconomowoc Historic Boat Tours

Oconomowoc Tours and Events! We will be providing unique tours and events in Oconomowoc and will be starting with a historic boat tour on lac LaBelle. The pontoon ride will last 1.5 hours and highlight over 2 dozen historic points of interest and share various stories around the lake. Oconomowoc was once referenced as the Newport of the west and was the home and playground for influential society members from around the Midwest and the country. Our dedicated historian, Laurie Muffler, has been put together a unique and accurate historical highlight guide to give you a sense of the special areas and times that have helped our community develop as THE place to live, work and play in Lake Country and the Midwest.

Our tours will not only highlight our community and the history but our local cafes and restaurants/bars.  The morning tours will feature coffee and treats from one of our local coffee shops. The afternoon and evening tours will feature bloody Mary's and snacks from a local restaurant/bar (additional drink ticket required). BYOB, a small cooler will be provided with ice to keep beverages you bring cold. Gather some friends (boat holds up to 10 guests) and get ready for a fun time as you relax on great lake while you learn some interesting history, enjoy some beverages and make some history of your own. This is a great and unique way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion and is ideal for any age. Individual and small group reservations are available for the 9:30am and 5:30pm tours, $35/ person and full boat reservations are available for the 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm for only $375. Full boat reservations provide for up to 10 guests and along with the Captain for an experience dedicated to your event/group. • Bathrooms are available at the Band shell for use before or after the tour. No bathroom stops are planned during the tour.
• Special thanks also to Buddy’s Beach shack located next to the Band shell. The pontoon boat we use for our tours is part of the fleet that they have available for general rental. They also provide for great food and drink to those that gather to enjoy the beach and band shell area as well as sponsor the Bands at the Beach concert series at the Band shell during the summer.
