Description
Join us for a no-frills, point-to-point relay from Waukesha to Milwaukee for the multiple sclerosis (MS) cause! The approximate course distance is 16-miles but, besides only one official (required) course crossing just two miles at the highway 59 crossing in Waukesha, the route your team takes from start to finish is completely up to you!
Your team will crew yourselves with hydration, navigation, and encouragement as you make your way in this unique relay format to the race party at City Lights Brewery located in Menomonee Valley. Get your team across the finish line between 11 and 11:21am to receive a custom printed pint beer glass, then grab a beer and some food while you enjoy live music on a summer Sunday Funday!
You can have as many or little relay team members as you like. No team is too big or too small (hey, you're crewing yourself after all). Each team member must be paid and registered to receive the free custom pint glass at the finish.

What is the charity organization MS Run the US?
MS Run the US is a charity dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support multiple sclerosis (MS) research, while also supporting those living with disability due to MS.
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune neurological disease that affects the central nervous system, so the brain, the spinal cord, and the optic nerves. The disease disrupts the signals sent between the brain and the body causing a wide range of symptoms, some very mild and manageable all the way to paralysis. Common symptoms are fatigue, pain, numbness and tingling in the arms and legs, loss of balance and coordination, cognitive fog, like memory loss, and a variety of other symptoms depending on the severity of the disease in each individual.
What we do at MS Run the US?
In an effort to raise much needed awareness around the disease, MS Run the US hosts America’s first and only 3,260 mile ultra relay across America every year from California to New York. A team of runners is selected to cover the 19 individual segments that make up the entire distance. Each runner commits to fundraising $10,000 over the course of six months and running a marathon a day for six consecutive days during their assigned segment. That’s an average of each person running 160 miles in one week! Collectively the team takes 4.5 months to run across America.
For the first time ever, the 2019 relay will run through Milwaukee, WI and is coordinated in conjunction with the MS Run to City Lights relay race.
