Run to Remember 5K Canceled
Due to growing concerns over COVID 19, Wausau Metro Strong has decided to cancel the Run to Remember 5K.
We are so grateful for the immense community support over the last three years and hope you can join us in 2021.

Description
In the first two years - the Run to Remember has raised more than $35,000. The first year of the run raised enough money to fully fund a memorial to honor the victims of the March 22, 2017 shooting. The memorial was placed and dedicated in mid-October - as a permanent fixture in our community. Runners will be able to race past the memorial in March 2020 as we continue this tradition and celebration of four amazing lives - Sara Quirt Sann, Det. Jason Weiland, Karen Barclay and Dianne Look.
Wausau Metro Strong is proudly continuing the event to carry on their memory. Wausau Metro Strong’s mission is making a safer community for all in the greater Wausau area.
The course for the race will begin and end near the DC Everest Junior High and run through the streets of Weston.

SAME DAY REGISTRATION: We will be offering same-day registration again this year. Price will be $35 at the race - can be paid with cash or a check. Please write Wausau Metro Strong in the memo line! Shirts are not guaranteed - so sign up online if you can!
AGE DIVISIONS:
Awards will be given in a number of categories. Awards will only be given out to 1st place finishers in each category!
Awards will take place at approximately 10:30 a.m. near the starting line.
Chip timing will be provided by Performance Timing. Race results will be available at performancetiming.com
REFRESHMENTS:
Post-race refreshments will be provided.
VOLUNTEER:

PACKET PICK-UP: Packet pick-up will be held in the gym of DC Everest Junior High both the day before the race and the morning of the run. On Friday, March 13, you can pick up your packet between 4:30-7:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 14, you can pick up between 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m.

Course
The course for the race will begin and end near the DC Everest Junior High and run through the streets of Weston. The route will take a right on US Business 51, right on Schofield Ave., right on Birch St. and a right on Jelinek Ave. before ending back at the junior high.
