Place
Morgantown, WV US 26506
Description
Participants will have to bench press a percentage of their body weight. Here is the beakdown for benchpress percentage:
Age 13-39: Male: 100% Female: 70%
Age 40-49: Male: 90% Female: 60%
Age 50 and over: Male: 80% Female: 50%
For every repetition you achieve, we will subtract 30 seconds from their 5K run time. There is a short break after the lifting portion of the event and then the participants run a 5K that takes place starting and ending at the Health Science Campus (HSC). Each top athlete will receive a prize during the awards ceremony following the event.
Registration will begin at 9:30AM followed by weigh-ins and bench press. The race will begin at 10:45AM. Please arrive at an appropriate time so that you are ready to begin by then!
This year, we are introducing a new "team" option where one (1) person will perform the bench press and another person will run the 5K. This option is great for people who have always wanted to participate but did not because they did not want to bench press or run the 5K!
