Welcome to the Poca River 15K presented by the Kanawha Running Club! This is West Virginia's oldest road race and it comes with so much tradition. This year the course will be similar to the last few years with an out and back course, along the Poca River Road, for a total of 9.3 miles. Awards will be given out to age groups 1st place in each age group (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) as well as top 2 overall male and female.
As of right now, the course will be an out and back course due to the bridge not being completed yet. Shirts are $10 if you elect to order one (we heard you and we are going to get shirts of a higher quality this year - details to come) and registration is only $25 so sign up quickly as race day registration will be $30. You can also sign up for the Kanawha Running Club when registering and get a year's membership for only $10 and like all club members you'll get 10% off.
Packet Pickup will be only on race day. We will be set up around 6:30 race morning for pickup. If you are registering on race day please sign up by 7:30.
We will have the link to Appalachian Timing working later this week (Feb. 3).
More details to come and lots of ways to get discounts.
