Safety Do's and Don't's
  • DO follow all instructions along the course from police, EMS, and route volunteers
  • DO be sure you've reviewed the course map prior to race day
  • DO feel free to wear headphones, though we suggest listening at an appropriate level to be aware of your surroundings
  • DO feel free to use a jogging stroller. Insurance regulations require that we ask you to start at the back, and we'd also remind you to be respectful of others around you
  • DO plan to have fun
  • DO be aware of the 2hr 23min cut-off for the event. All AEP Ohio Columbus 10K presented by Orangetheory Fitness participants must maintain a minimum pace of 23:00/mi.

  • DO NOT plan to run with your pets. Due to the size and nature of the event and for the safety of everyone involved and our insurer's regulations, dogs are not allowed on the course. Leash or no, please leave Fido at home
  • DO NOT ride your bicycle, scooter, hoverboard, or use your inline skates to participate. Participants in the AEP Ohio Columbus 10K Presented by Orangetheory Fitness must be running, walking, or using an approved wheelchair
  • DO NOT forget to have your friends and family sign up to participate
