Almond Blossom Run 2024

Welcome to the 2024 Almond Blossom Run!!

Durham Sports Boosters is excited to announce that the 42nd annual Almond Blossom Run will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024. We are not just another run in the park... Please join us in Durham for a beautiful Sunday morning run around the almond orchards with the trees in full bloom to see how special this race really is! As in past years, this event will include a 5K and 10K run with chip timing provided by Under the Sun Events. 

In 2024, you have three options to enjoy our event:

• A live, in-person event with waves every 5 minutes based on your registration level

• A virtual event on our official course at your convenience-if you would like to enter the results for your run, please do so the morning of the Feb. 25th by 9AM

• A virtual, make-your-own course-if you would like to enter the results for your run, please do so the morning of the Feb. 25th by 9AM

In-person participants (with data submitted via RunJoy, etc.) are eligible for top male and female finisher awards. Winners in both the 5K and 10K events will receive a gift certificate for a pair of running shoes from Fleet Feet in Chico. Smaller prizes will be awarded for each age division as well.

Participants in the virtual event will receive instructions on how to submit virtual times, but will not be eligible for prizes.

Registration is still a steal of a deal at just $40 (in-person and virtual) through race day. Participants may choose from a long-sleeved, technical or short-sleeved, poly-cotton blend shirt upon registration, but be sure to register early-limited sizes and styles have been pre-ordered, so be sure to register early. Please note: For those participating in the virtual race, there will be a $10 shipping fee for those wanting a shirt.  

Sponsors are a critical partner in this event and allow us to continue our financial support of our athletic programs in Durham. The 2024 event proceeds will benefit student athletic teams at both Durham Intermediate School and Durham High School. Durham Sports Boosters is currently seeking funds to support training courses for coaches, purchase new equipment for our soccer program, and implement improvements to the softball field. Every dollar raised last year was spent on our athletic programs. We were able to purchase new equipment for our weight room and strength/conditioning class, a rebound trainer for basketball and uniforms and equipment for several other sports teams. You can become a part of our 2024 sponsorship team for this great event through this registration portal for as low as $100. In addition to knowing you have supported a great cause for our athletes, you will also receive wonderful advertising for your company. The race is on!
