Rivaura Rosé River Run/Walk

RIVAURA ESTATE VINEYARD AND WINERY proudly presents our 4th annual Rivaura Rosé River Run/Walk:

This family friendly 5K will start at Rivaura's beautiful Event Barn located inside the South Vineyard. Participants will run through the vineyard before running West onto Hewett Road headed towards Spaulding Park. About half way down there will be a turnaround point. Racers will follow the same route and eventually return back through the vineyard, finishing at the Event Barn. Over 500 runners/walkers participated last year and we expect many more this year so sign up EARLY to ensure you get your spot and all the goodies.

Race day participants that register before April 25th are guaranteed to receive a free commemorative T-shirt (we will have a number of extra t-shirts for those late sign ups), free wine tumbler and one free glass of Rivaura's Cab Franc Rosé or one free glass of River Ranch Brewing Co. beer. Those under 21 will receive a glass of sparkling cider. CHILDREN 10 & UNDER ARE FREE!

On race day the Event Barn will be open at 8:30am for participants arriving early. Music, food, drinks, and goodies will be available before and after the race in and around the Event Barn and Rivaura opens at Noon just across the River from the Race.

Fentanyl Awareness & Rivaura Rosé River Run -  4th Annual 5k Run/Walk

May is Fentanyl Awareness Month, and Rivaura will be donating a portion of the race proceeds and 100% of the donations of this event to fentanyl awareness. Cal Daniel Heinen was more than just a friend to the Hewett family, he was also Winemaker Lane Hewett's best friend and classmate. His life ended suddenly in November 2019 due to an accidental overdose from a pill laced with Fentanyl.

This epidemic is becoming overwhelming. Cal's friends and family with Rivaura are taking a stand. Fentanyl is an opioid 50 - 100 times stronger than morphine. Deaths from substances linked to fentanyl have nearly tripled since 2019. It is now the #1 cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 – 45. Illicit fentanyl kills 175 Americans every single day - deaths are on the rise across the country.  It seems everyone knows someone who has been impacted by this crisis. Law enforcement, the DEA, and Medical Examiners, are finding themselves increasingly overwhelmed.
