Mardi Gras 5K

The Mardi Gras 5k supports the youth program at St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church in Buford, Georgia. Proceeds will go towards pilgrimages, retreats, and other Christian educational activities.

Please feel free to dress in your best Mardi Gras themed costume. Along with race time awards, there will be prizes for best costumes. Please keep costumes tasteful as this is a family friendly event.

At the end of the race, all race participants may enjoy pancakes provided by the parish youth. Non-race participants may purchase pancakes for a small fee.

Parish Youth Designed Event T-shirts - guaranteed to all runners registered before February 16th, 2019

Awards:

Medals awarded for the top 2 Male and Female in the following age groups: 
12 & under, 13-18, 19-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75 & over.

Best Costume Awards for the following:
12 & under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-49, 50 & over

Special award for the Fastest and Slowest Priest

Race Route:

Race begins at 4:00 PM at St. Mary and St. Martha Episcopal Church and continues down Ridge Road and into beautiful Morgan's Crossing Subdivision. After leaving Morgan's Crossing the race will continue down Ridge Road to return to the church.
