I’m walking to support Hope in Focus because I have the privilege of seeing every day how powerful community, research, and advocacy can be for families living with Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) and inherited retinal diseases.
Through my work with Hope in Focus, I’ve met incredible children, parents, and adults navigating vision loss with courage and resilience. I’ve listened to families searching for answers, celebrating breakthroughs in research, and holding on to hope for treatments that could change the future.
Right now, research is advancing in ways that once felt impossible. Clinical trials are moving forward, and for the first time, many families can see a real pathway toward treatments. But progress like this doesn’t happen on its own. It takes community support, education, advocacy, and the resources to keep pushing science forward.
That’s why I’m walking.
Every dollar raised helps Hope in Focus connect families to information and support, amplify the patient voice in research, and accelerate the path toward treatments for LCA and other inherited retinal diseases.
If you’re able, I hope you’ll consider supporting this walk and the families we serve. Together, we can help turn hope into real progress.
