ABOUT DOUG CHANDLER:
A husband, father, Bubba a brother. His dedication and love for the game of basketball were endless. Once a player himself, he turned into a coach to pass on the “old school” skills and drills to his own daughters and later in life volunteered 16 years to the Central Girls Basketball program.
In April 2018, we lost this great man to pancreatic cancer. The Dough Chandler Memorial 5k has been created to honor and continue to support his love of the game. Proceeds and donations from the race will be going towards research for pancreatic cancer and to create a scholarship for one of the graduating Central Girls Basketball athletes.
