Get a festive start to your Thanksgiving morning and help raise funds to support childhood cancer research at the Chester County Turkey Trot 5k Run and 2k Walk (Cure4Cam).
The 18th Annual Chester County Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2019 at Downingtown West High School. The event is a 5k race/walk, a 2K walk, and a kids fun run. There's no better way to start the holiday morning!! Every year this race gets a fantastic turnout - last year there were about 3,000 registered runners and we expect the numbers to grow again this year!
The course is flat and incredibly FAST! The course starts at Downingtown West High School and finishes inside of Kottmeyer Stadium. GreenLayer technical running shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,400 registered runners!
In addition to supporting the Downingtown West Cross Country team, proceeds of the race will benefit Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation. Information on Cure4Cam is available at www.Cure4Cam.org. Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by family and friends in memory of Cameron Evans, a teammate and friend who lost his battle with leukemia in May 2012. Cameron was a gifted athlete and a compassionate, positive, and inspiring young man. His perseverance and spirit touched all of us.

Sponsorships for the Chester County Turkey Trot benefitting the Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation are NOW AVAILABLE for the 2019 event. Cure4Cam and the Downingtown High School West Cross Country team continue to work together to reach out to you, our community, for support in our yearly campaign to raise funds to support childhood cancer research.
With a mission to raise public concern and much-needed funds to support promising clinical research projects, the Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, founded in memory of fellow runner, 14-year-old Cameron Evans, to date has granted $1,260,000 to childhood cancer researchers all over the country. Thanks to generous sponsors like you, over the past seven years almost a third of that amount was raised via the Chester County Turkey Trot! Due to a donor covering charity expenses, 100% of monetary sponsorships and donations are directed by Cure4Cam to fund childhood cancer research. (Please note that we are not in need of prize donations at this time, but gladly welcome donations in the form of refreshments for the race. Contact through Chester County Turkey Trot email below.)
