The Big Day is Two Days Away!

We're looking forward to seeing you at Run & Walk with Pride this Sunday! Read below for important details to ensure your morning is fun and smooth! If you're participating virtually, scroll to the bottom of this message.

Check-In

If you opted to pick up your race bib and t-shirt in person, you can do so tomorrow (Saturday, May 31), or on race day.

Saturday, May 31
10am - 5pm
Super Jock 'n Jill  (7210 East Green Lake Dr N)

Race Day: Sunday, June 1
7:45 - 8:30 am
Western side of Seward Park, immediately north of the main entrance

Getting to Seward Park & Parking

***On June 1, Lake Washington Blvd will be closed to mortorized traffic. Please account for this in planning your morning.***

Parking is extremly limited within the park, so allow ample time for finding street parking. Carpooling, biking to the park, or public transportation (soundtransit.org/tripplanner) is recommended.

Gear Check

Gear check will be next to to the check-in tables and available beginning at 7:45 am. Bring your own bag - we will not have bags on-site. Even though we will have volunteers monitoring checked gear througout the event, we still discourage you from checking valuable items. Run & Walk With Pride is unable to assume responsibility for lost items.

Event Schedule

Throughout the event, we'll celebrate the start of Pride Month with music hosted by DJ Ish Lukata. Current weather predictions call for partly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s and 60s. Come early and stay until the end!

  • 7:45: Packet Pickup, Gear Check & On-site registration opens
  • 8:45: Welcome & Announcements
  • 9:00: Start of the 4k and 8k races
  • 10:15: Awards & Recognitions
  • 10:45: Finish Line Closes
  • 11:00: Event Ends, Gear Check Closes

Hydration & Refreshments

Our friends at Trader Joes - UDistrict are providing water bottles and snacks for race finishers. For 8k participants, there will be a hydration station just past the halfway point. Participants may also carry their own water bottles and hydration packs.

Course

The race begins near the Clay Studio (green dot below) and goes clockwise following the pedestrian-only road around the edge of the park. Near the end of the loop, the race will pass through the south parking lot and then the north lot near the start/finish line(see map below). Because the park will remain open to traffic, we will have volunteers and signage to help you safely stay on-course using sidewalks and cross-walks.

4k participants will complete one loop; 8k participants will complete two loops.

Other Information

  • EMS: We’ll have emergency medical services onsite, though we hope no one will need them!
  • Toilets: Seward Park has permanent restrooms designated for men and women near the entrance of the park. We have also rented all-gender portable toilets.
  • No dogs: Per our insurance policy, dogs are not permitted (other than service animals).
  • Bibs: Our timing company requests that bibs are pinned to your FRONT (outer layer shirt or shorts) near your waist.
  • Changing your distance: You connect with us during Saturday check-in at Super Jock 'n Jill or onsite on Sunday before the race.
