They’re working in our community to support asylum seekers, students, the unhoused population, survivors of domestic violence, and those facing financial adversity.
Connecting individuals and families statewide to ensure their needs are met.
Their work is built around the recognition that while we all have the same basic needs, we don’t all share the same access to opportunity.
Maine Needs is about people coming together and actively caring for one another. And I think we ALL need more of that in our lives!
Maine Needs is a community-driven organization with over 6,000 volunteers that help support the work of 523 providers from 265 organizations across the state of Maine.
They support long time Maine families, newly arrived immigrant families, those fleeing domestic violence, those leaving incarceration, those in recovery, veterans, and those who are unhoused, newly housed or experiencing financial hardship.
