SAFsquatch Scurry

Run with the Society of American Foresters SAF in our second annual SAFsquatch Scurry!    Whether you want to take on the 5K, or challenging 10K trail run course, this will be a fun event to get out in the forest and interact with professional foresters.

• Evening Trail Run (Starts at 4:30 PM)
• 5K & 10K 
• Professionally Timed 
• Race T-Shirts, on-course water stations, and prizes to top category finishers

Course Descriptions: Both the 5K and 10K courses start and end at the Forestry Club Cabin in the OSU Research Forest. 

• The 5K course starts with a short stint to Cronemiller Lake and then turns for a loop of the Calloway Creek Trail and the Intensive Management Trail. The final push is a return to the lake and one last trail section on the Section 36 Trail to the finish at the Forestry Cabin.   
• The 10K course follows the 5K route to start, but on the return to Cronemiller Lake, the route heads uphill on the Section 36 Loop Trail uphill to Peavy Peak, the high point on the course at 1280 feet.  The course then stays on the Section 36 Loop Trail (downhill!) to the finish at the Forestry Cabin.

Packet pick-up will be available starting at 3:30 PM day of race at the Club Cabin in Peavy Arboretum

Join us at 4 Spirits Distillery for the after party and awards ceremony! After party is immediately following the race (7:30 PM)  3405 SW Deschutes Street in South Corvallis. Details will be included in race packets
