IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR BEACHFRONT RUN - 6/12/2020

Hello runners and walkers!

Allow me a moment to share with you who City Impact is and what we do. We are a community-based non-profit organization over 25 years old. We were established to meet the needs of disenfranchised at-risk children, youth and families throughout Ventura County.  This past year, we served over 2,163 unduplicated individuals.  Our programs address a myriad of community need factors, which include: food, shelter, utilities, clothing, support emotional and mental wellness; enhance educational success and decrease negative behaviors related to gangs, violence, substance abuse, and stabilize relationships.  Please know that all the proceeds from this annual event goes directly to City Impact’s vital programs.

Thank you all who responded to our Run Survey - it helped guide us for the best decision.  Due to public safety concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19 – we are still in a fluid state with predictions of another spike in the summer.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.  For the safety and well-being of all involved it is in the best interest to switch our event to a Virtual Run!   The good news is you will have options as to what happens to your registration fee!  We are pleased to allow you to choose from the following options. Please note if a selection is not made by JULY 3rd your registration will automatically be scheduled for the Virtual Run.

Here Are Your Options:

Thank you for choosing to participate in our Virtual Run.  Run or walk from any location you choose between August 14th to August 16th. Submit your RESULTS by noon by Monday August 17th.  Once you have submitted your results, a shirt and medal will be mailed to you to within two weeks.  Shirt size will not be guaranteed if registered after July 3rd.  More details will follow as we get closer to event. 

We are pleased that you would like to join us for our Beachfront Run June 12, 2021.  Deferring your race is FREE!  You don't need to do anything else - we will defer your race for you and send an email confirmation.  Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Donate your registration fee to City Impact for a charitable tax deduction.  Please know your contribution will help make an impact on thousands of at-risk children, youth and families in Ventura County.  If you select this option, simply do nothing.  We will mail you a receipt letter for your donation.  We are truly grateful for your support.

City Impact's Beachfront Run goes VIRTUAL!    

 

What is a Virtual Race?

Run (or walk!) at a location you desire (beach, park or around your neighborhood).  Invite your family and friends to cheer you on...or to even join you in the race!  What makes a Virtual Race so cool is there are no course time limits - run (or walk) at your own pace!

Upon completion of your race, we will provide a link for you to submit your finish time.  We will mail you a tech shirt and finisher's medal (within couple of weeks post the event).  

• FREE Tech Shirt for Virtual participants (1/2 Marathon, 10K & 5K only) - shirt /size not guaranteed if registered after 7/3/2020
• Finishers Medal for all participants 

Who can participate in the Virtual Race?

Everyone!  Have your family and friends join you for a fun-filled day and support a great cause.
