Run on Round Lake 5K & Youth 1 Mile

Description: OUR 6TH ANNUAL RUN ON ROUND LAKE 5K  WILL  BE AN EVENING RUN!!! This event offers a walk/run course that will start on the RLC campus, run on round lake road (which will be closed), move on the RLC cross country course (which is sand, dirt and grass) and then finish back at the start. The first 200 entries will receive a finishers medal.

Beneficiary: Proceeds will help benefit and support the RLC athletic department which aims to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for school aged sports.
Registration:
EARLY REGISTRATION - May 1st thru - Sept 30th $25.00 (guaranteed a T-shirt and finisher medal) 
October 1st - October 20th $35.00 (guaranteed a T-shirt and first 200 registered will receive a finishers medal)
Oct 22nd  thru Race Day registration $35.00 (T-shirt not guaranteed)

Packet Pick up: Friday November 3rd from 3:30-4:45pm at RLC GYM
Same day packet pick up November 4th from 4:00pm - 4:45pm

5:00 pm. – 5K Run/Walk Race Start
6:15 pm -  Awards Ceremony 

Tee shirts
Shirts are guaranteed for all participants registered before October 20th.  Shirts are not guaranteed for participants that register after October 20th. They are performance (dri-fit type) T-shirts again year.

Awards: Overall Top male and female awards

Age group awards: Top in each age group (one male and one female)
13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Medals: The first 200 people to register will receive a finishers medal.

Timing/scoring: Event will be chip timed and scored with disposable chips attached to the back of each bib.

When and where does the race take place?
Saturday, November 6th at Round Lake Charter School
Race start time is promptly 5:00 pm

Where can I park?
You will be able to park on Round Lake Charter School campus and on the Real Life Church campus next to the RLC.

How long is the course? 
The 5K is 3.1 mile & there is a 1 mile youth race.

Will there be a concession stand and Round Lake Charter apparel for sale? 
Yes, there will be a wide variety of RLC gear to buy.

How will I be timed? 
The race uses an electronic timing system that records race time and place via each participant’s race number bib given out at race registration. Each individual competing in the 5K is required to wear their participant bib. Runners will be unable to participate without their individual bib. There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.

When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Packet pick-up will start at 3:30-4:45pm on Friday, November 3rd in the gym and on race day starting at 4:00pm until 4:45pm at RLC.

Can I use my own bib rather than utilizing the one that is provided?
No, a bib will be provided

Who gets a T-shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment processes by October 20th  will be guaranteed their free race t-shirt. 

Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.

Can I participate with a stroller or Bike?
Strollers are permitted but no bikes, skateboards, etc.

What do I do with my personal items while I’m running?
Please leave them in your car.

Should I bring my own water?
Yes, but there will be a water station on the course and near the finish line.

I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration but we are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks.

Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a NO TRANSFER and No REFUND policy.
